One of the questions I hear sometimes is why romance?
Why write it.
Why read it.
And the truth is . . . there are many reasons.
I read romance because there’s something deeply comforting about knowing that, no matter how messy life gets, the story is moving toward a happily-ever-after. I read it for the emotional ride—for the moments that make your chest ache, the ones that make you smile, the ones that have you swooning, and the ones that remind you what it feels like to hope again.
Romance lets us feel big emotions in a safe place, and sometimes that’s exactly what we need. And maybe most of all, I read romance because it reminds me that love—imperfect, complicated, hard-won love—is always worth believing in.
